Over the past four months there have been a lot of interesting developments in my life directly. Developments that have left little time to announce to the world what is going on, because I tend to just be a little more comfortable with dealing with things quietly and in my own way. Also what you tolerate you give permission to exists. At no point did I want this to become something I tolerated or gave permission to exist. Well today I have been hit with the reality that it is time to be a little vocal simply to help some understand where I have been and where I am going. Over the past 4 months things have seemed like a roller coaster with little time to put my seat belt on, primarily with my health. But as we looked around, I realized how many other people were on this roller coaster ride as well. It seemed almost selfish to share what was going on with me as I was thankfully given the best case scenario.
Needless to say it was not intentional to become invisible or keep people in the dark, it just kind of came with the territory for a little while. And just as it seemed that things were getting a little more back to normal (whatever that is), I am headed back to square one tomorrow morning. At the end of the day I will have a few less organs and hopefully finally be on the road to full recovery. I am sure curious minds want to know and the great part is I still have a phone and a voice. So if you would like specifics I am happy to talk with you but will not be sharing on facebook or through e-mail (too long) so please do not ask. Many have asked what we need? Well we need new siding, new windows, a maid and a newly landscaped backyard. Other than that, we need prayer. If you would please remember to cover Chris and the boys in prayer as this will be a tough one. This is the second time in 8 weeks they have had to take care of a recovering care taker, and this one is going to take a while. I am grateful for the thoughts, for all of you who care, and please know that all though this process was not expected and has taken some adjustment, we know that it could have been worse and for that reason we find ourselves feeling blessed.
If I do not respond to your e-mail or messages, I apologize in advance as it is most likely that will happen for a while. My time seems to be limited with good moments for a while and in those moments I try to give as many of them to my kids and husband who just like myself have endured a long road and look forward to those moments where we forget just for a moment. Again please know that all the messages and e-mails are very much appreciated and do not go unnoticed. This is a season and it too will pass, there is nothing in this world that is a surprise to the Lord and therefore we lean on Him for strength and patience as I a TERRIBLE patient but am learning to ask for help and am always grateful for it. :-)
